Gemba Capital

Gemba Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm based in Bengaluru, India, that provides pre-seed and seed-stage funding to startups operating primarily within the fintech, consumer technology, and B2B sectors. The firm focuses on backing technology-driven businesses that address India-specific market challenges, typically executing investments in eight to ten new companies annually. Operating with a strategy to support founders from inception, the firm previously raised approximately INR 90 crore for its inaugural investment vehicle and subsequently launched its second fund in December 2023. The firm manages an active portfolio of more than 50 early-stage startups and has recorded four successful exits to date. Notable investments within its portfolio include the insurtech platform Plum, alternative investment platforms GripInvest and Wintwealth, and the gaming studio Lightfury Games. Gemba Capital was established in 2017 by founding partner Adith Podhar.
