GMO Venture Partners is a Tokyo, Japan-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage and growth-stage technology and financial services startups across Japan, Southeast Asia, India, and the United States. Operating as the dedicated venture capital arm of the GMO Internet Group, the firm primarily allocates capital toward the fintech, payment systems, e-commerce, ad-tech, and enterprise software sectors. The firm has executed over 50 equity investments across its operational history, resulting in at least eight of its portfolio companies successfully achieving public market listings. Its active investment portfolio features several prominent regional technology companies, including Razorpay, Slice, Xendit, Kredivo Group, and 2C2P. The organization recently established its eighth dedicated fintech-focused investment fund to continue backing emerging financial technologies globally. GMO Venture Partners was founded in September 2005 by Masatoshi Kumagai and Ryu Muramatsu.
