Fashion for Good

Fashion for Good operates as a global innovation platform dedicated to fostering a regenerative and circular fashion industry. It develops and scales groundbreaking innovations across the fashion value chain, working to identify and implement sustainable practices. The organization brings together various stakeholders to drive systemic change through practical action and the adoption of its 'Five Goods' framework, which encompasses materials, economy, and process.

The initiative was established in 2017 with the visionary guidance of William McDonough, an influential architect and designer known for his pioneering work in sustainable design principles. Fashion for Good was launched with an initial grant from the founding partner C&A Foundation, now known as Laudes Foundation. The core insight was the urgent need to address the environmental and social challenges within the fashion industry through collaborative innovation.

Fashion for Good serves the entire fashion ecosystem, engaging brands, manufacturers, innovators, and investors to accelerate the transition to a sustainable model. The organization’s ultimate vision is to make all fashion good, moving towards an industry that designs out waste and pollution, keeps products and materials in use, and regenerates natural systems. It aims to fundamentally rethink how fashion is created and consumed.
