Tom Emrich

Tom Emrich is the Managing Partner at Emrich & Vitali, an investment and advisory firm focused on immersive technology based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Prior to his current role, he led product development initiatives at Meta's Reality Labs and co-founded MindPort, an immersive learning platform. Throughout his career, he has advised more than 50 extended reality startups and built an investment portfolio that includes emerging technology companies such as Polygonal Mind and Observe.AI. Emrich holds his business degrees from Ryerson University, completed continuing studies in wearable technology at OCAD University, and recently joined the advisory board of a Toronto-based wearable healthtech startup in January 2026. His current professional focus centers on spatial computing, artificial intelligence, and early-stage deep tech investments, supported by his active participation as a speaker at major industry conferences like AWE and SXSW.
