Thierry Petit

Thierry Petit is a Partner at 50 Partners Impact based in Paris, France, where he focuses on early-stage impact-driven investments across the European market. Prior to his current role, he served as Managing Partner at Black Sea Quantum VC and held investment positions at Serena Capital and Idinvest Partners. Throughout his venture capital career, Petit has invested in more than 20 startups, including the unicorn software company Payfit, which was acquired in 2024. As part of his portfolio expansion, he recently led a €15 million investment round in the climate technology startup Climeworks during the first quarter of 2026. He holds an engineering degree from École Polytechnique and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. His current investment focus centers on supporting early-stage founders developing scalable technologies within the artificial intelligence, climate tech, and broader sustainability sectors.
