During his tenure in journalism, he spent nearly a decade at the Financial Times, working as a foreign correspondent in Paris, Madrid, and Stockholm to cover macroeconomic trends, corporate developments, and regional European politics. Stothard, who holds a Master's degree in History from the University of Cambridge, leveraged his extensive network to transition into technology investing alongside firstminute capital co-founder Brent Hoberman.
