Evan Beard is the CEO and co-founder of Standard Bots, an artificial intelligence and robotics startup based in Glen Cove, New York. Under his leadership, the company develops vertically integrated robotic arms for industrial manufacturing and has raised $63 million from strategic investors including Amazon. Before Standard Bots, Beard co-founded the technology-focused media company A Plus alongside Ashton Kutcher in 2013, scaling the platform to reach 50 million unique monthly visitors. He previously co-founded the relationship management application Etacts, which participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2010 batch and was acquired by Salesforce.com later that year. Following the acquisition, he served as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and holds bachelor's degrees in Economics and Computer Science from Duke University. His current focus centers on integrating hardware and artificial intelligence to advance domestic industrial automation.
