KT Investment operates as the venture capital arm of KT Group, specializing in early-stage investments across innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and cloud computing. The firm manages approximately $248 million (330 billion won) in cumulative assets under management as of late 2023, reflecting its significant presence in the Korean startup ecosystem. Its largest single fund, a 64.5 billion won ($48.7 million) vehicle, was launched in November 2023 specifically targeting youth startups in AI, robotics, and cloud. To date, KT Investment has backed 80 companies, including an injection of $27.8 million into 20 startups during 2022. Its capital is sourced from institutional investors such as the Korea Fund of Funds and Industrial Bank of Korea, alongside its parent KT Corporation. The firm was established in 2015.
