Xavier Lesage Moretti

Xavier Lesage Moretti is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Koala, an educational technology startup based in San Francisco. Since establishing the platform in 2018 to provide digital infrastructure for online tutors, he has scaled the organization to a team of between 11 and 50 employees. Before transitioning to the edtech sector, he spent seven years in the telecommunications industry, beginning his career as a Radio Frequency Test Engineer at Apple in 2011. He subsequently held technical leadership roles, serving as a Wireless Systems Engineer at Azimuth Systems and later as a Technical Customer Project Manager at Sequans Communications from 2015 to 2018. He holds a master's degree in wireless communication and electromagnetism from CentraleSupélec. His career reflects a transition from specialized hardware engineering in mobile communications to executive leadership within the digital education market.
