Wes Selke

Wes Selke is a Managing Director at Better Ventures based in San Francisco, California, where he oversees pre-seed to Series A investments in climate technology and social impact startups. Under his leadership, the firm raised over $100 million for its third climate-focused fund in March 2025 to support a portfolio that currently exceeds 50 companies. Selke has personally directed capital into notable enterprises including AI voice developer ElevenLabs, which reached a $1.1 billion valuation in 2024, alongside Sublime Systems and Pivot Bio. Before his current role, he co-founded the venture firm Fifty Years, held investment positions at Lowercarbon Capital, and worked in operations at Bain & Company. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University, Selke maintains a primary focus on backing early-stage founders developing deep technology solutions for systemic environmental and economic challenges.
