Vik Thapar

Vik Thapar is the Managing Partner at Operator Collective, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. In this capacity, he oversees a portfolio of more than 50 companies and manages over $100 million in assets, recently closing the firm's $75 million Fund III in March 2024. Prior to his transition into venture capital, Thapar held executive operating roles at several prominent technology companies, serving as Vice President of Business Development at WeWork and Head of Strategy at Compass. He also worked as an early employee at Grubhub and earned a Master of Business Administration from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. His investment portfolio includes notable unicorn exits such as the mobile messaging platform Attentive. Thapar currently focuses on investing in B2B software startups while providing go-to-market and operational guidance to early-stage founders.
