Soona Amhaz

Soona Amhaz is the General Partner and Managing Partner at Volt Capital, an early-stage venture firm established in January 2020 that invests in the digital assets space. She manages capital on behalf of notable limited partners, including Union Square Ventures' Albert Wenger and Founders Fund's Brian Singerman, typically writing check sizes ranging from $100,000 to $1 million. Prior to launching her venture fund, Amhaz studied at the University of Michigan School of Engineering and joined Alation as its twentieth employee during the enterprise data company's initial growth phase. She subsequently transitioned into the cryptocurrency sector by co-founding Token Daily, an organization that later evolved into the technology talent platform On Deck. Her current investment focus centers on pre-seed and seed-stage blockchain startups, backing prominent portfolio companies such as Magic Eden, Farcaster, Nansen, Replit, and LayerZero.
