Sean Barkman

Sean Barkman is a Principal and Partner at Ballast Point Ventures based in Tampa, Florida. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2011, he spent three years in the technology investment banking division at Raymond James, where he executed various mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions. In his current investment capacity, he serves on the board of directors for multiple active portfolio companies, including Abacode, Spotio, Keen Decision Systems, and Viirtue. His previous corporate governance experience includes board positions at SkuVault, YPrime, and PowerDMS, as well as serving on the board of the Florida Venture Forum. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Rollins College. Barkman currently focuses on guiding emerging technology startups through strategic growth, market positioning, and complex financing initiatives.
