Ryota Sekine

Ryota Sekine is the President of Radical Frontiers and an active technology and startup entrepreneur based in Chicago, Illinois. He previously co-founded the consumer fitness hardware company Cubii as an initial undergraduate project while completing his degree at the University of Chicago. During his operational tenure at Cubii, Sekine secured two distinct patents for the company's proprietary under-desk elliptical technology and helped scale the enterprise until its successful corporate acquisition in late 2020. In addition to his primary business ventures and early-stage investments, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2013 and maintains an active professional membership with the U.S.-Japan Council. Today, Sekine leverages his hardware manufacturing and operational background to mentor various early-stage technology startup founders while actively developing new venture concepts across the space technology, alternative governance, web3, and bioengineering sectors.
