Robert Wang

Robert Wang is a Partner at SOMA Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage investments across the software and gaming sectors. Previously, he spent over a decade at Microsoft as a Director and General Manager, managing finance and operations across the Office, Xbox, MSN, and SQL divisions. Wang also served as General Manager and Vice President at Nintendo for more than five years, where he oversaw the launch of the Wii console and various online games. His extensive operational experience extends to the Asia-Pacific venture ecosystem, having acted as a Board Member for Youbike.com.tw to assist its shared bike system launch in Taiwan. A CFA charterholder affiliated with the California Venture Capital Association, he holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, an MBA from the University of Washington, and completed the Stanford Global Exec Program in 2016.
