Raanan Bar-Cohen

Raanan Bar-Cohen is a veteran seed investor and Co-Founder of Resolute Ventures, a national pre-seed and seed fund based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Before transitioning into venture capital, he ran a web agency and held executive positions at Dow Jones, Time Warner, and Automattic, where he helped build the enterprise and media partnerships business for their WordPress platform. Operating as a professional investor since 1999, he embraces a philosophy of backing founders rather than ideas, providing early entrepreneurs with their first institutional venture capital checks. His investment portfolio features several highly recognizable technology companies, including notable successes like BarkBox, OpenDoor, Greenhouse, Homejoy, Sunrise, Signifyd, and Color Genomics.
