Pelle Braendgaard

Pelle Braendgaard is the CEO and Co-Founder of Notabene, an end-to-end regulatory compliance solution for the global cryptocurrency and finance sectors, based in Managua, Nicaragua. He is a serial entrepreneur and technologist with over 25 years of international experience developing internet, blockchain, digital identity, and security technologies. Prior to Notabene, Braendgaard co-founded uPort, an Ethereum-based identity platform incubated by the software company ConsenSys, and developed secure communication platforms for the medical network Doximity. His early career includes serving as the first webmaster for the search engine AltaVista, contributing to the development of the OAuth open standard, and launching the startup Kipochi to introduce Bitcoin infrastructure to African markets. Today, his primary focus remains at the intersection of cryptography, law, and finance, building infrastructure that enables self-sovereign institutions and ensures regulatory compliance across the digital asset ecosystem.
