Patrick Koperwas

Patrick Koperwas is the CTO and Cofounder of Veles, a Y Combinator-backed software startup, and is currently based in Austin, Texas. Before launching his current software venture in early 2024, he served as a Staff Software Engineer at the financial research platform Tegus from 2022 to 2024. Previously, Koperwas worked as a Senior Platform Engineer and Staff Software Engineer at Procore, where he directed the CurrentSet software project and managed the company's internal engineering internship program. Earlier in his professional career, he co-led the software development consultancy DevLocker, building upon a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. With over eleven years of full-stack coding experience utilizing Ruby, Golang, Postgres, and React, his current focus centers on engineering scalable backend systems and executing performance tuning for various high-growth technology startups.
