Omobola Johnson is a Senior Partner at TLcom Capital based in Lagos, Nigeria. Before joining the venture capital firm, she served as Nigeria’s first Minister of Communication Technology from 2011 to 2015, following a 25-year tenure at Accenture where she culminated her consulting career as Country Managing Director. She currently holds independent corporate board positions at several prominent institutions, including MTN Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria, and Custodian Investments, while representing TLcom on the boards of venture portfolio startups like Fairmoney and Pula. Additionally, Johnson co-founded Women in Management, Business, and Public Service in 2001 and holds a doctorate from Cranfield School of Management alongside degrees from King’s College London and the University of Manchester. Her current focus centers on generating deal flow, supporting female founders, and driving value creation for scalable technology companies across sub-Saharan Africa.
