Naseem Makiya

Naseem Makiya is the founder of Impactive, a political and civic technology company that was previously known as Outvote. He established the digital organizing platform in 2017 to help progressive campaigns mobilize voters through relational organizing, peer-to-peer text messaging, and phone banking. Under his leadership, the startup participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2018 batch and secured early backing from organizations like Higher Ground Labs. The software platform eventually scaled to support a team of 15 employees and served over 2,000 distinct customers across all 50 United States and Canada. Impactive was subsequently acquired by the major fundraising platform ActBlue, integrating its voter registration and outreach tools into a broader progressive political infrastructure.
