Mike Carter

Mike Carter is the co-founder of Vooma, an AI automation platform for the logistics industry, based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2022 and part of the Y Combinator W23 batch, the logistics technology company has raised $18 million across two funding rounds to automate back-office tasks for freight brokers and carriers. Previously, Carter served as a founding engineer at Kodiak Robotics, where he led motion planning and safety initiatives for self-driving commercial trucks. His earlier engineering career includes specialized vehicle autonomy roles at Uber ATG, following his research tenure at the Stanford Dynamic Design Lab. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, he holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering from Stanford University.
