Michael Birk

Michael Birk is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Baotris, an ecommerce data and technology company. Previously, he served as the Director of Engineering at Unity Technologies, where he scaled the analytics engineering division from a handful of initial employees to a team of more than 40 engineers. Before his tenure at Unity, Birk held a leadership role at Playnomics, guiding the predictive analytics platform through its eventual acquisition by Unity Technologies. He earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His professional career spans over two decades of software engineering experience, with a primary focus on scaling technical teams, developing data analytics infrastructure, and driving business growth within the broader global ecommerce sector.
