Mathieu Tarnus

Mathieu Tarnus is the Founder of Groupe Positive and 404 Ventures, as well as a Partner at 50 Partners, based in the Lille area of France. After graduating from ISEG Lille in 2003, he established Sarbacane, which evolved into Groupe Positive, a digital marketing software conglomerate that generates €21 million in revenue with 150 employees and 25,000 clients. Tarnus also co-founded and successfully exited the cybersecurity firm Vade Secure in 2013 before expanding his focus to venture capital. Through 50 Partners and his newly formed seed fund 404 Ventures, he writes €50,000 to €200,000 checks to support early-stage technology companies, building on a personal portfolio of approximately 40 startup investments. His current focus centers on providing capital and operational expertise to pre-seed and seed-stage SaaS, deep tech, and impact startups across the European market.
