Martin Mulvihill is a Co-Founder and General Partner at Safer Made, a venture capital fund based in Berkeley, California. Prior to launching Safer Made in 2016, he served as the founding Executive Director of the Berkeley Center for Green Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley. Through Safer Made, Mulvihill manages a multimillion-dollar portfolio of early-stage investments focused on sustainable materials, backing more than 15 startup companies such as Grove Collaborative, P2 Science, and Repurpose. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the university and subsequently completed postdoctoral research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he spent several years developing safer chemical alternatives for everyday commercial consumer products.
