Mani Subramanian

Mani Subramanian is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OrsoBio Inc. and a Venture Partner at Samsara BioCapital. At OrsoBio, he leads a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that has raised $97 million, including a $60 million Series A round co-led by Longitude Capital, advancing four programs for metabolic disorders. Since joining Samsara BioCapital in 2020, he has evaluated investments and incubated research for liver disease therapies. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and Therapeutic Area Head for Liver Diseases at Gilead Sciences from 2011 to 2020. He holds a Doctor of Medicine from the Armed Forces Medical College and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Michigan, completing a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. His career focuses on the clinical development and venture financing of therapeutics for severe metabolic and liver conditions.
