Malcolm Ong is the Head of Product at the South China Morning Post (SCMP). Previously, he led product initiatives at Lyft, where he launched the company's progressive web app, Amazon Fire application, Windows 10 application, and the "Amp" connected dashboard. Before his tenure at Lyft, Ong served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at 500 Startups, advising more than 30 early-stage companies for the global venture capital fund with over $350 million in committed capital. His earlier entrepreneurial and technical experience includes co-founding the educational technology platform Skillshare and leading product development at multiple New York-based gaming and technology studios. He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. Ong's career focuses on driving product management and technical strategy across the media, ride-sharing, venture acceleration, and educational technology sectors.
