Kathy Zhou-Patel

Kathy Zhou-Patel is the CTO and Co-founder of Queenly, an online formalwear resale marketplace based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2019, the startup currently operates with an estimated 19-person team and previously secured a $7.1 million seed funding round led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Before launching the specialized e-commerce platform, she spent several years working as a full-stack software engineer at major consumer technology companies, including Pinterest and Venmo. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Environmental Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2015, later leveraging her domain expertise as Miss New England Earth 2021 to help build the resale business. Her current professional focus centers on developing artificial intelligence-driven marketplace architecture, scaling consumer engineering teams, and advancing sustainable fashion technology for the global apparel industry.
