Esther Olatunde

Esther Olatunde is a software engineer and engineering leader based in Lagos, Nigeria, who specializes in full-stack development and technical architecture. She previously served as the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Tress, a social community and hairstyle inspiration mobile application for Black women that officially launched to the public in February 2016. Under her technical leadership, Tress successfully participated in the highly competitive Y Combinator Winter 2017 batch, scaling its digital platform to serve a global consumer base. Prior to founding the beauty technology startup, Olatunde completed an intensive entrepreneurial training program at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology in 2015, where she collaborated with co-founders Priscilla Hazel and Cassandra Sarfo. Her professional background centers on full-stack software engineering, technical team leadership, and developing scalable consumer mobile applications within the broader African technology ecosystem.
