Alberto Hojel

Alberto Hojel is a machine learning researcher and entrepreneur currently building a new venture in the Bay Area, California. He earned a degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, where he conducted academic research at the Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research (BAIR) lab. Working under the advisement of Trevor Darrell, Hojel authored and presented a research paper at the European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV). Prior to his current entrepreneurial pursuits, he applied his technical expertise at Rainmaker, focusing on the development of machine learning applications for weather forecasting. Following his presentation at ECCV, he elected to pivot away from a traditional academic PhD track to focus on commercializing technology products. His current focus centers on leveraging his background in artificial intelligence and computer vision to develop applications in immersive content and extended reality.
