KOSME

KOSME (Korea SMEs and Startups Agency) is a government-funded non-profit organization based in South Korea that implements policies and programs to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups. It offers both financial programs for operations and product development, and non-financial advisory services like consulting and global cooperation. The agency operates with approximately 1,500 staff members and manages a substantial budget, including a KRW 11.5129 trillion (approximately USD 8.9 billion) Startup and Promotion Fund for 2026. KOSME also allocated KRW 140 billion for its "AX Sprint Preferential Track" to accelerate AI adoption among businesses. Under Chairman Kang Seok-jin, KOSME engages in global cooperation, partnering with entities such as the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and Invest India to facilitate international market expansion. KOSME was established in 1979.
