KISP Ventures

KISP Ventures is a Shariah-compliant venture capital firm based in Kuwait, actively investing in early-stage technology companies across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Managed by KFH Capital, the investment arm of Kuwait Finance House, and established through a partnership with Impulse International, the firm typically deploys investment tickets ranging from $1 million to $5 million. As of 2019, KISP Ventures maintained a portfolio of eight companies, notably including the Egyptian online real estate marketplace Aqarmap, and also supported over 35 startups via its Bahrain-based accelerator program. The firm participated in Aqarmap's funding round alongside co-investors Wamda Capital and Raed Ventures, with entrepreneur Mohammad Alhajeri also associated with KISP Ventures. KISP Ventures was established in 2017. The firm focuses on sector-agnostic technology investments targeting early-stage companies in Central Asia, Northern Africa, and Western Asia. Portfolio companies span diverse industries, including real estate marketplaces and other technology sectors.
