The Innovation and Technology Venture Fund (ITVF), based in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, is a government fund that co-invests with selected venture capital partners in local innovation and technology startups. Operating through the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund Corporation, it supports startups via both co-investment and fund manager models, focusing on strategic industries such as artificial intelligence, data science, and life and health technology. With an initial capital of HK$2 billion, ITVF has made approximately 200 investments since its inception. In 2024, HK$1.5 billion was redeployed to establish joint funds with market partners on a matching basis. Managed by the Innovation and Technology Commission, the fund was launched in 2017 by the Hong Kong SAR Government, with Nicholas Yang involved in its initial rollout.
