Innosuisse/SNF Bridge

Innosuisse/SNF Bridge is a joint funding program based in Bern, Switzerland, supporting projects at the intersection of basic research and science-based innovation to facilitate the development of market-ready products and services. Operated by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and Innosuisse, the program offers "Proof of Concept" for young researchers and "Discovery" for experienced researchers. BRIDGE has CHF 105 million allocated for 2021-2024, following a 2017-2020 pilot phase where it approved 160 projects from 1,047 applications, deploying CHF 58 million and resulting in 67 start-ups. The program, employing 11-20 individuals, is headed by Christian Brunner. Key leadership at the parent organizations includes Innosuisse President André Kudelski and CEO Dominique Gruhl-Bégin. The BRIDGE program was launched in 2017 as a joint initiative of the SNSF and Innosuisse.
