The fund targets outlier managers with funds under $150 million, supporting a global network of early-stage investors. This strategy evolved from Hummingbird Ventures' approach to backing high-performing, often overlooked funds following its own successful exits around 2020. Key personnel include Barend van den Brande, founder of Hummingbird Ventures and Nomads, alongside Wouter Gort, who leads the Nomads Fund, and investment team member Jordan Nel. Firat Ileri is a partner at the parent firm. Hummingbird Nomads Fund was established around 2020 as a spin-off from Hummingbird Ventures, which Barend van den Brande founded in 2010.
