Guangzhou Automobile Group

Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC Group) is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer based in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, producing vehicles through joint ventures and its own brands like GAC Motor and Trumpchi. The company focuses on passenger cars, new energy vehicles, and key components such as batteries, operating as a publicly traded entity. GAC Group was the fifth largest automaker in China in 2021, achieving 2.144 million vehicle sales and ranking 176th in the Fortune World 500. It maintains significant joint ventures with international partners including Honda (GAC Honda), Toyota (GAC Toyota), and Mitsubishi, serving the domestic market. Recently, GAC Group formed Guangzhou Andi Technology JV with DiDi for Level 4 autonomous vehicles, targeting volume production by 2025. Incorporated in June 1997, the organization was established through a Guangzhou municipal reorganization without specific individual founders.
