Global Impact Fund

Global Impact Fund is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage, impact-driven companies led by underrepresented social entrepreneurs, specifically prioritizing women and people of color across the United States. The firm primarily targets for-profit businesses operating within the environmental sustainability, healthcare, education, financial inclusion, and economic mobility sectors. The organization sources its investment opportunities through proprietary channels, including deal flow generated directly from The Global Good Fund Fellowship. The firm currently operates a $10 million second investment vehicle, Global Impact Fund II, which held its initial first close in February 2021 to provide seed capital while targeting market-rate financial returns. The investment team includes general partners Daron Coates and Paul Orentas, who previously co-founded the commercial energy firm ThinkBox. Global Impact Fund was originally founded in December 2016 by managing director Carrie Rich.
