The enterprise has successfully raised a total of $4.77 million in funding to date, which includes a $3.55 million debt financing round completed approximately four years ago. Operating primarily in the health-conscious consumer sector, the business recently transitioned its packaging from traditional glass bottles to aluminum cans and expanded its core beverage product line. The organization distributes its vegan-friendly beverages through several major retail chains across Canada, securing prominent shelf space at recognizable grocers such as Sobeys, Costco, and Whole Foods. Cove Kombucha was originally founded in 2016 by brothers Ryan MacLellan and John MacLellan, the latter of whom previously worked at Ernst and Young before joining the venture full-time.
