CFYE

The Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) provides financial and technical support for initiatives creating and improving jobs for youth. It funds scalable solutions to youth unemployment, partnering with diverse organizations. CFYE invests in job matching, skills development, and fostering sustainable employment environments in target regions.

Launched as a 7-year program, CFYE was initiated by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its origin addresses widespread youth unemployment in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. A consortium of Palladium, VSO Nederland, and Randstad manages the fund, leveraging combined expertise for innovative interventions.

CFYE benefits young women and men in target geographies, enhancing access to livelihoods and economic participation. It partners with businesses, NGOs, and others to deploy employment initiatives. Its vision is to foster a prosperous future for 230,000 young individuals through labor market integration and inclusive economic growth.
