Biom'Up

Biom'Up is a Saint-Priest, France-based medical device company that develops and manufactures resorbable biomaterials and patented biopolymers for surgical hemostasis and tissue regeneration. The organization commercializes proprietary products, primarily its flagship HEMOBLAST Bellows, to assist surgeons and hospitals in controlling bleeding during orthopedic, spinal, cardiothoracic, maxillofacial, and general procedures. Before entering financial restructuring in late 2019, the enterprise scaled its operations to include a commercial team of over 100 employees following a rapid 2.5-year FDA approval process for its primary device. The business raised more than €100 million in total capital, which included a €38 million initial public offering on the Euronext Paris exchange in October 2017. This financial growth was supported by backing from prominent institutional investors such as Bpifrance, Gimv, Mérieux Participation, and Lundbeckfonden Ventures. Biom'Up was founded in 2005 by Sylvain Picot.
