§ Accelerator
5-week accelerator for early-stage builders, founders: software, hardware, media projects with funding, mentorship.
Canopy is a five-week hybrid accelerator and intensive builder program administered by Founders, Inc. Operating out of a 30,000-square-foot facility at Fort Mason in San Francisco and through a digital platform, the initiative supports projects across software, hardware, artificial intelligence, deep technology, and media. The spring 2026 cohort accommodates 100 in-person participants and 400 online attendees, running from April 15 to May 22 following an April 6 application deadline. During the program, participants receive hands-on mentorship from experienced operators while developing applications, robotics, or creator brands. Top-performing teams culminate the program at a final showcase, where select online participants are flown to the campus to compete for up to $250,000 in direct funding and $500,000 in operational credits. The resource targets early-stage founders and pre-seed builders requiring rapid prototyping infrastructure, collaborative workspaces, and strategic preparation for institutional fundraising.
Canopy is a five-week hybrid accelerator from Founders, Inc. that brings together software, hardware, and media builders at their 30,000 sq ft campus at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The Spring 2026 cohort runs from April 15 to May 22, with 100 teams in-person and 400 teams joining online. The application deadline is April 10, 2026.
Top-performing teams compete at a final showcase for up to $250,000 in direct funding on a post-money SAFE, plus $500,000 in operational credits. Select online participants are flown to San Francisco for the showcase.
The program provides hands-on mentorship from experienced operators, collaborative workspace at the Fort Mason campus, and structured weekly milestones to push teams from idea to demo. In-person participants get full access to prototyping infrastructure, workshop facilities, and a builder community across disciplines. Online teams follow the same curriculum and milestones with virtual mentorship. The final showcase is the centerpiece - a competitive demo event where teams pitch to investors and compete for funding.
Canopy targets early-stage founders and pre-seed builders working across three tracks: software (apps, SaaS, AI tools), hardware (robotics, devices, physical products), and media (creator brands, content platforms, entertainment tech). You do not need a finished product - the program is designed for rapid prototyping and validation. The ideal applicant is a technical builder with a clear vision and the ability to ship fast during five intensive weeks.
Canopy values builders who can demonstrate momentum. Show what you have already built or prototyped, not just what you plan to build. Teams with complementary skills (engineering plus design, hardware plus software) tend to perform well. If you are applying for the online track, highlight your ability to work independently and ship on tight timelines. The selection process favors doers over planners.
