§ Accelerator
An 8-week program for early-stage generative AI startups, offering mentorship, up to $1M in credits, and scaling support.
The AWS Generative AI Accelerator is an equity-free, eight-week hybrid accelerator program administered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Backed by a $230 million corporate commitment, the initiative provides selected participants with up to $1 million in AWS promotional credits and access to specialized hardware. Startups receive technical mentorship, commercialization guidance, and compute resources from industry partners including AWS, NVIDIA, and Anthropic. The highly selective program accepts global applicants with a working minimum viable product, recently admitting 40 companies like Hyperbots for its 2025 cohort from an applicant pool with under a two percent acceptance rate. Participants conclude the program by attending the AWS re:Invent conference to network and showcase their technologies. The accelerator targets early-stage startups developing complex generative artificial intelligence solutions, agentic workflows, and foundational models to accelerate their product development, infrastructure scaling, and market traction.
The AWS Generative AI Accelerator is a non-dilutive, 8-week program that provides up to $1 million in AWS promotional credits to early-stage startups building with generative and agentic AI. AWS takes no equity and charges no fees, making this one of the most valuable non-dilutive programs available to AI founders. The application window for 2026 runs from June 10 to July 10, 2026.
The accelerator is part of AWS's broader $230 million investment in generative AI startup acceleration globally and connects founders with technical mentors, go-to-market experts, and a specialist network that includes leaders from AWS, NVIDIA, Meta, and Mistral AI.
The program targets early-stage AI startups no more than 5 years old that have raised no more than Series A financing. You need a product that is already built and underway, with evidence of early revenue and a sizable target customer base.
Eligibility requirements include a CEO co-founder owning 51%+ of the company and a CTO or technical lead on the team. AWS evaluates founding team experience, clarity of industry use cases, product maturity, early traction, and the breadth of your generative AI technical skills (ML engineers, data scientists, etc.).
Applications open on June 10, 2026 through the AWS Startups website and close on July 10, 2026. The program accepts startups from most countries globally. Strong applications demonstrate a clear generative AI use case, early revenue traction, a strong technical team, and a well-defined target market. Given the sub-2% acceptance rate, be specific about your technical differentiation and the business problem you are solving.
