Zach Perret

Zach Perret is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Plaid, a financial technology infrastructure company, and the Co-Founder of Mischief Venture Capital. Prior to establishing Plaid in 2012, he worked as an Associate at the global management consulting firm Bain & Company, where he first met his future business partner William Hockey. Under his executive leadership, Plaid has grown to a $13.4 billion corporate valuation following a blocked $5.3 billion acquisition attempt by Visa, providing secure account connectivity services for major consumer applications including Robinhood, Coinbase, and Venmo. In addition to his primary corporate duties, Perret launched Mischief Venture Capital in 2020, subsequently raising a $30 million fund in 2021 alongside investment partner Lauren Farleigh. His professional focus remains firmly centered on scaling core fintech infrastructure while actively directing venture capital into early-stage technology startups.
