Yusuke Kono

Yusuke Kono is an investment team member at BEENEXT, where he manages early-stage venture capital activities across Southeast Asia and India. In this capacity, he actively supports portfolio companies with global expansion strategies and facilitates strategic partnerships specifically connecting emerging market startups to the Japanese business ecosystem. Prior to transitioning into the venture capital industry, Kono spent more than 10 years working as a professional journalist for the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), bringing over a decade of media and communications experience to his current investment practice. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Law degree from Keio University. Kono's current professional focus centers on identifying and scaling early-stage technology companies that demonstrate measurable social impact potential throughout various emerging markets.
