Yuling Luo

Yuling Luo is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Alamar Biosciences and a Venture Partner at Illumina Ventures. Previously, he founded Advanced Cell Diagnostics, serving as President and CEO until its acquisition by Bio-Techne for $325 million in 2016. Before that, Luo co-founded Panomics, where he worked as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Functional Genomics prior to its 2008 acquisition by Affymetrix. He began his career as an early senior scientist at Exelixis and holds over 30 issued patents, including the invention of the RNAscope molecular detection technology. Luo earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China and a doctorate in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. His current work focuses on advancing life sciences startups through the development of molecular detection technologies and therapeutic target validation.
