Yuji Takei

Yuji Takei is a Partner on the Asia Pacific Private Equity team at Bain Capital, based in Tokyo, Japan. He joined the global investment firm in 2020 after serving as Chief Operating Officer and head of the investment division at Japan Industrial Solutions. Previously, Takei worked as a Senior Partner at Advantage Partners, where he directed leveraged buyout transactions, and he also held management consulting roles as a Partner at A.T. Kearney and a Manager at McKinsey & Company. Before entering the private equity industry, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in law from the University of Tokyo. His current focus centers on post-acquisition value creation, operational optimization, and mergers and acquisitions across the industrial, consumer, retail, and financial services sectors throughout the Asia Pacific region.
