Yuichiro Sano is the Principal of the India Fund at Beyond Next Ventures, where he directs the firm's early-stage investment operations and global strategy across the Indian market. He brings over 15 years of professional experience in emerging markets investing, utilizing multiple financial instruments that include direct equity investments, corporate finance, and complex project finance. Prior to assuming his current position in April 2021, Sano developed his expertise in international development and finance through roles at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. He holds a graduate degree from the Harvard Kennedy School and previously resided in India for three years, gaining direct exposure to the region's rapidly evolving economic landscape. Sano currently focuses on driving impact investments into early-stage Indian startups, maintaining a specific strategic emphasis on advancing the health-tech sector.
