Yuechen Zhao

Yuechen Zhao is currently a Partner at Informed Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage investments in the digital health and vertical software-as-a-service sectors. Before transitioning to venture capital, he began his career as a software engineer at Microsoft and Flipboard, later working as a product manager for major technology firms including Google and Uber. Zhao also founded an artificial intelligence travel startup in 2017 and holds an AB in Computer Science from Harvard University. In his current capacity as an investor, he targets pre-revenue companies and holds board positions at portfolio startups such as Venteur, Akia, and GigSafe, the latter of which recently secured an additional $4.75 million in venture funding. Today, Zhao leverages his extensive technical and product management background to support founders from inception through critical hiring, fundraising, and product strategy decisions.
