Yuan Liu

Yuan Liu is a Managing Partner at Long Journey Ventures based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He oversees a fund with over $100 million in assets under management, focusing on seed and Series A investments across enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and fintech. Prior to his current role, Liu served as a Principal at GGV Capital and held investment positions at Formation 8 and Yahoo!. His investment portfolio encompasses more than 20 companies, including early backing of Cruise prior to its acquisition by General Motors, and a 2025 seed investment in the AI startup VectorShift. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College, a Bachelor of Engineering from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. Liu leverages his dual engineering and business background to identify and scale early-stage technology startups globally.
