Youssef Mawad

Youssef Mawad is the Vice President and Managing Director of JCI Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Johnson Controls. He assumed this leadership position in August 2021 to direct strategic investments in early-stage companies and technologies aligned with the corporation's broader focus on building technology, smart infrastructure, and sustainability. In addition to his corporate venture capital responsibilities, Mawad serves as a board member for the Tripoli Special Economic Zone, contributing to regional economic development and commercial initiatives. Prior to his current executive roles, he completed his higher education at HEC Paris, graduating as a member of the institution's class of 2018. Recently featured in an August 2023 CVC Unplugged interview detailing his specific investment strategy, Mawad maintains a primary focus on executing corporate venture capital transactions that bridge emerging technological innovations with established industrial infrastructure.
