Youssef Kalad

Youssef Kalad is a Principal on the Economic Infrastructure team at AlleyCorp in New York, where he supports pre-seed through Series A investments and incubations from a $250 million fund. Prior to joining the venture capital firm founded by Kevin Ryan, Kalad managed product and growth initiatives at Uber during its pre-IPO phase and directed technology policy and startup attraction for the Mayor of New York. He also coordinated COVID-19 response efforts for the Governor of New York and holds an MBA from the Wharton School alongside a BA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. In his current capacity, he oversees investments in enterprise-grade tools for small businesses, backing portfolio companies such as Stepful, Alchemy, and Birches Health. Kalad focuses his venture strategy on modernizing under-digitized and regulated markets across learning, earning, and healthcare access.
